Acceptance
By creating an account or using LapBattle, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
The service
LapBattle is a hobby project that lets iRacing drivers compare lap times on private leaderboards. It is provided free of charge with no guarantees of uptime, reliability, or continued availability. We may modify, pause, or shut down the service at any time, and will make reasonable efforts to give advance warning of any permanent shutdown.
Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
- Use of the companion app requires a valid iRacing subscription.
- You are responsible for keeping your password secure.
- Your display name must not impersonate another person or be offensive.
- One account per person — don't create accounts on behalf of others.
Your data
You retain ownership of your lap time data. By submitting data through the companion app, you grant LapBattle a limited license to store and display it within the service. How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Submit false or manipulated lap times.
- Attempt to access other users' accounts or data.
- Scrape, crawl, or automate requests to the service.
- Abuse, harass, or threaten other users.
- Attempt to disrupt or overload the service.
The companion app
The companion app reads iRacing telemetry from your PC and sends lap data to LapBattle servers. You install and run it voluntarily. We are not responsible for any conflicts with iRacing's own terms of service — please review iRacing's membership agreement independently.
No warranties
LapBattle is provided "as is" with no warranties of any kind — express or implied. We make no guarantees about uptime, data retention, or accuracy of lap times displayed. Use it at your own discretion.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LapBattle and its creators are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including loss of data.
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or delete any account at any time, with or without notice, for violations of these terms or for any other reason. You can delete your own account at any time from the dashboard settings page.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. If you are located in the EU, you have additional rights under the GDPR — see our Privacy Policy for details.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. Continued use of LapBattle after changes are posted means you accept the new terms.
